About the CRC for Water Sensitive Cities

Water sensitive city transitions

The Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) for Water Sensitive Cities began in Australia in July 2012 to help change the way we design, build and manage our cities and towns. The CRC wants to do this by:

  • Changing the way we value the contribution water makes to economic development and growth, our quality of life, and the environment
  • Bringing together researchers and experts from many disciplines
  • Connecting industry with the latest research.

The CRC for Water Sensitive City envisions future cities and towns, and their regions, to be sustainable, resilient, productive and liveable.
